THE 40+ DOUBLE DUTCH CLUB IS GUIDED BY A DEDICATED BOARD OF DIRECTORS MADE UP OF INDIVIDUALS WHO CELEBRATE AGING IN THEIR OWN LIVES AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. OUR BOARD MEMBERS BRING A DIVERSE RANGE OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO THE MISSION OF ENCOURAGING WOMEN OVER 40 TO PRIORITIZE THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH THROUGH FRIENDSHIP, FITNESS, FUN AND FELLOWSHIP. UNITED BY A SHARED VISION OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A UNIFIED SISTERHOOD IMPACTING OUR COMMUNITIES, THE BOARD PROVIDES STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT TO ENSURE THE LONG-TERM IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR
PROGRAMS, EVENTS, AND OUTREACH EFFORTS.

FOUNDER & CEO
PAMELA ROBINSON
Pamela Robinson is the mother of 3 amazing adult children, a newlywed wife. She founded the the 40+ Double Dutch Club in 2016. She holds a Master's degree in School Counseling and has a professional background as a case manager and in-home counselor. Over the years, in addition to being a full time stay-at-home mom, Pam has also worked as a residential real estate agent, a party planner and events coordinator, and managed JordyCakes, her daughter’s custom cake and cupcake boutique. Pamela is grateful that God turned her pain into purpose and that He used something as simple as a plastic clothesline and what many thought was “just” a Double Dutch Club to form a worldwide SISTERHOOD of friendship, fitness, fun and fellowship!

CATRINA DYER-TAYLOR
Catrina Dyer-Taylor is a proud mother of two daughters, she has served on the PTO board at their school for many years, demonstrating strong leadership and fundraising abilities. As a devoted wife, she brings a spirit of love and compassion to all that she does. With a background as a Certified Medical Assistant, Catrina’s passion for people and their well-being remains at the heart of her work. She is the Co-Founder of the 40+ Double Dutch Club, an organization that fosters sisterhood, fitness, and joy among women over 40. She also serves as the Development Director for the No Sister Left Behind program and is the Captain of the very first 40+ Double Dutch Club location, which began in 2016 in Country Club Hills, a south suburb of Chicago.Catrina continues to inspire and uplift others through her dedication to community, wellness, and empowerment.

PAULA TRIPP
Paula Tripp, a founding board member of the 40+ Double Dutch Club, is known for her expertise in transforming data into meaningful consumer and marketing insights. Paula’s career includes pivotal roles at Fortune 500 Brands including SVP Consumer Insights for BET Media Group (a Paramount Global Network), Head of Foundational and Menu Insights at McDonald’s and roles of increasing responsibility at Unilever, General Mills, and Information Resources Incorporated (IRI). Paula leverages her decades of experience and connections with innovative research partners and tools in her venture, The Insights Partnership where she consults large and small companies on their most important strategic, communication, and new product development projects. Paula holds an Economics degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in marketing research from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

JANET WRIGHT - MOORE
Janet Wright-Moore is a passionate early childhood leader, consultant, and advocate dedicated to ensuring all children have access to high-quality early learning. With over two decades of experience as a teacher, administrator, trainer, and coach, she leads with a vision rooted in equity, innovation, and community empowerment. Janet holds advanced degrees in early childhood and special education and proudly serves as a wife and mother of two adult children. Guided by her personal motto, “Different Does Not Mean Deficient,” she continues to break barriers and uplift those who nurture our youngest learners. She has been a member of the 40+ Double Dutch Club since 2016.

LINDA LATSON
Linda Latson, MBA, is the founder of Kidz College and has dedicated over 25 years to early childhood education. Since 2005, she has owned and operated Kidz College, a preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years. In 2019, she expanded her vision by launching Kidz College Primary and Secondary School, where she now serves as Director of Teaching and Learning. Linda holds a Master’s of Business Administration and is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality education. A proud 40+ Double Dutch Club member since 2021, she values community, connection, and creating lasting impact in children’s lives.

LISSETTE JACKSON - SHEPHERD
Lissette Jackson-Shepherd is the mother of three adult sons and the Captain of the Fairfield,
California 40+ Double Dutch SubClub. Lissette holds a Master’s Degree in Social Worker from
the University of Washington and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Florida Agricultural &
Mechanical University. In 2016, as a licensed attorney in both Florida and California, Lissette
established Shepherd Legal Advocates, a boutique law firm that works collaboratively across
various disciplines to serve children and families. Lissette is experienced in strategic planning
focused on improving outcomes for the underserved, she runs daily, praises dances, and looks forward to regular spontaneous travel.

JOHNNETTA MILLER
Mrs. Johnnetta Miller has worked in the Education sector for the past twenty years. She is an experienced educational leader with expertise in teaching and learning, professional development, human resources, and organizational change and improvement. She has served in several roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum director, human resource director, superintendent of schools, and adjunct professor. She serves as Director in one of Georgia's oldest non-profit early childhood organizations.

MARIE BURNETTE - DAVIS
Marie Burnette-Davis is a proud mother of one daughter and a second generation Air Traffic Control Specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration, where she has served for almost 30 years. With supervisory experience and expertise in developing and implementing contingency plans, Marie brings strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as creativity, passion for Double Dutch, and a commitment to uplifting others to the 40+ Double Dutch Club Board. She is excited to support the 40+ Double Dutch Club’s mission and the sisterhood she believes in, using her talents to help expand and elevate the movement.

PHYLLIS POWELL PELT
Phyllis Powell Pelt has had over 50 years of public health nursing experiences as a University of Illinois College of Nursing, Master’s prepared registered nurse and nationally recognized school nurse educator. During her tenure as Healthy Schools Campaign Board member she helped to establish state wide school nurse leadership trainings which impacted services for students and families in suburban schools as well as the Chicago Public Schools Her nursing role with Women’s Walking Research programs funded by National Institutes of Health helped 40+ DDC to establish evidenced based practices connected to warm ups and cool downs as a standard part of all meetups. She consistently attends 2-3 Double Dutch meetups a week and enjoys helping with “newbie” orientation and encouraging all to listen to their bodies as they move and “play.”

JUANITA MAHDI
Juanita Mahdi is a 19 year Educator in the City of Chicago's Public School System. She holds a BA and holds several education certifications. She has over 20 years experience serving on several boards from Elementary Schools to Colleges/Universities, in addition to several non-profit organizations in various positions. She has almost 25 years of fundraising experience and is looking forward to bringing her experience and expertise to the 40PlusDDC.

FELICIA GUEST
Felicia Guest brings over 30 years of invaluable experience working with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), where she has led teams, managed programs, and developed a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health. Her career has been centered around advocacy, service, and leadership, making her a powerful asset to any organization focused on community impact. In addition to her professional background, Felicia has been an active and dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serving on multiple committees and holding the role of Chair of the Chicago Alumnae Chapter’s Fundraising Committee. Her passion for service and her expertise in mental health, program management, and community engagement uniquely position her to support the mission of the 40+ Double Dutch Club. Felicia is excited to bring her knowledge and leadership to the board, helping to further the club’s mission of connection, healing, and empowerment through movement and sisterhood

RONNIE DEVOE
Ronnie DeVoe, born in Boston, Massachusetts, proudly calls the world his home. With over 40 years in the entertainment industry as a member of the legendary groups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, he’s left an indelible mark on music and culture. Beyond the stage, he’s a real estate entrepreneur and passionate advocate for housing affordability and democracy. A Boys & Girls Club of America Hall of Fame inductee, member of 100 Black Men, and Marriage Ambassador, Ronnie continues to uplift and empower communities nationwide.

PORTIA HAWKINS
Portia has over 22 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and currently serves as a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist with Novartis Pharmaceuticals. In addition, she has been a licensed Realtor for 25 years and proudly owns and operates her own real estate firm, Phenomenal Properties, where she serves as the managing broker. A devoted member of the 40+ Double Dutch Club since its founding, Portia has played key roles as a Brand Ambassador and financial liaison. As a Board Member, she is excited and proud to support and promote the mission of the 40+ Double Dutch Club through her passion and professional expertise. Outside of her professional life, Portia enjoys traveling the world with her husband and she values spending quality time with family and close friends.

KATRINA TERRELL
Katrina Terrell, CPA
Controller at Gatling's Chapel Inc. | Board Member of 40+ Double Dutch Club . With 30 years of experience in the accounting field, Katrina has established herself as a seasoned professional with a diverse background in both public and private sectors. She began her career in a Big 5 public accounting firm, where she honed her expertise before transitioning into roles in both public and private companies.
Currently, Katrina serves as the Controller for Gatling’s Chapel Inc., one of the largest family-owned funeral homes in Chicago, a position she has held for nearly 15 years. In this role, she has played a key part in managing the organization’s financial operations, contributing to its continued success and community impact.
In addition to her professional achievements, Katrina is a proud 23-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she actively supports the organization's mission of service and empowerment. She is also deeply committed to the 40+ Double Dutch Club, offering her financial and accounting expertise to help further the club’s growth and impact. As a dedicated Board Member, Katrina leverages her vast experience to ensure the organization continues to make a positive difference in the lives of those it serves.

JORDYN GAINES - YOUNG
Jordyn Gaines - Young is a wife and mother of 4. She serves as both a Board Advisor and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the 40+ Double Dutch Club, where she leads the planning, development, and execution of all marketing and advertising initiatives. With over 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur, Jordyn brings a strong background in brand development and a passion for helping organizations thrive. Her role is critical to the club’s growth, as she combines creative vision with strategic insight to elevate brand awareness among the target demographic. By pushing the boundaries of web design and digital storytelling, she helps the 40+ Double Dutch Club stand out in a meaningful and memorable way. Jordyn is dedicated to ensuring that every marketing effort enhances the user experience, fosters brand loyalty, and supports the mission of the movement.
